Welcome The New Year In Style With ‘It’ Girl Label Staud

Year after year I buy a sequin dress for NYE only to see it hanging in my closet for the next 364 days, but not this year! While I love a good glittery piece, especially when it comes to shoes, I find that sparkly items tend to read more going out than going to work. Thus my Studio 54 inspired frocks rarely see the light of day. So, instead of dressing like a glorified disco ball this NYE and regretting my splurge for the rest of the year, I’ve decided to be a bit more practical and opt for an understated and elegant look from Staud.

Staud, a relatively new fashion label by former Reformation fashion director Sarah Staudinger and co-creative director George Augusto, is a customizable design company featuring timeless silhouettes similar to that of Reformation, but with a bit more finesse. While custom often means pricey, that is not the case with Staud. The label’s average price point resides around $230, but due to the line’s minimalistic aesthetic and quality handiwork — each item is made to order — the designs look double their cost. With fans like Harley Viera Newton and Alexa Chung, Staud is bound to be in every ‘It’ girls’ closet by the end of the year, if it isn’t already. Scroll down to shop my favorite NYE picks from the latest ‘It’ girl brand, and get ready to step into 2016 in style.
