The Polo: New Ways To Wear An Old Favorite

Having worn a Lacoste polo every picture day in high school — I know, embarrassing — I was delighted to see that the classic collared shirt was back in style. Unfortunately for me and my boxes of tennis whites, the fashion crowd seemed to favor 70’s inspired silhouettes à la Chloe and Saint Laurent over the sports luxe tee. Just as I was about to give up on the polo and send my shirts back into hibernation, a photo of Chiara Ferragni in a bright red collared shirt popped up on my Instagram feed, and lets just say I stepped out in a polo the very next day. If you are interested in sporting the style, but don’t want to relive your high school fashion faux pas, scroll down to see how fashion bloggers are putting a modern twist on the classic polo.
